midlife coaching

“Midlife is not the time to disenchant ourselves. It’s a time to turn on all our magic in full force.”

Marianne Williamson

purpose

It always brings me such joy to meet people who have found an authentic alignment between who they are and what they do. They speak of their ‘work’ with a gleam in their eye and an infectious enthusiasm.  Some people are fortunate enough to identify their life’s vocation at an early age, but most take many years to find their true path, if they ever do. I love helping people to discover this, especially as I’ve been fortunate enough to do so myself. Middle age is a particularly ripe time to re-evaluate one’s career and life choices with a view to finding greater fulfilment in one’s purpose.

my approach

I offer a supportive, neutral space of reflection and deep enquiry in which a client can step back from his or her life and evaluate what is working and what is not with a view to harnessing learning from the first half of life to apply to the second half.  The most valuable lessons we’ve learned by this stage have usually been hard won and it can be profoundly cathartic to realise their latent fruits… I speak from experience!

typical client issues

This will particularly suit those who:

  • are considering a career change
  • have taken a career break to raise a family and are considering what’s next
  • find themselves a bit lost or lacklustre, wondering ‘is this really it?’
  • are becoming more interested in contributing than in achieving for its own sake
  • are feeling overwhelmed in the ‘rapids’ or confused in the ‘fog’ of the peri/menopause or male midlife

timeframe

I typically work with individuals over six months and approximately 10 sessions, paced about every 2-3 weeks for 1-1.5 hours.  I work primarily on Zoom.
